[Gnoppix-user] Persistent Settings

Greetings.  There is a "persistent settings" feature in the startup menu for 
Gnoppix, and I'm not finding anyting on the Internet regarding its correct 
usage.  I'd like to save my /home directory, desktop settings, browser 
favorites and etcetera to a USB flash drive.  Has anyone mastered this 
technique?  If it cannot be done in with the functionality I'm describing, 
what *does* that menu option do and how should it be used?
