[Gnu-arch-users] making directory tags repeatable for Xouvert?

I did a 'tla add-tag' on a directory.  I looked in .arch-ids/=id
and it contained the string:

Jonathan Walther <address@hidden> Tue Aug 19 13:47:57 2003 12149.0

This looks like it is not dependant on the name of the directory at all.

In my auto-tagging script, would it be safe if I was to do the
following, instead of running 'tla add-tag'?

$ mkdir ${DIR}/.arch-ids
$ echo $(echo ${DIR} | sha1sum | cut -f1 -d" ") > ${DIR}/.arch-ids/=id

Jonathan
