I'm with you here! I've often enough tried to register an archive by
giving its _relative_ path on the command line, only to find later that
tla stored the relative path.
IMHO tla should recognize that situation and register the global path
consisting of "`dirname $0`/$given_path" because a relative path never
makes sense as far as I can see.
But this doesn't apply with sftp of course, only with local archives.
