I get it! The two columns are used when merging.

The left-hand column is the revision being merged into,
the right-hand column is the revision that you are
merging.

There's a bug though. --reverse doesn't reverse the merged
revisions:

rwa--1.0--base-0 rwa--1.0--base-0
rwa--1.0--patch-1 rwa--1.0--patch-1
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--patch-5
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--patch-4
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--patch-3
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--patch-2
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--patch-1
rwa--1.0--patch-1 jonas--1.0--base-0
rwa--1.0--patch-2 rwa--1.0--patch-2
rwa--1.0--patch-3 rwa--1.0--patch-3

I've reported it on savannah.

Sorry for replying to my own message. :)
