If you mean linux's in-memory disk cache, I just used a little program
that malloced an enormous block of memory and started touching pages until
it died (well actually I had some sort of command-line parameter that told
it how many hundreds of megabytes to touch, but often it died before it
got there)...  that flushes things _real good_.  :-)
