SF's project web hosting seems to support sftp. Any reason to assume that can't be used as a public arch server?
there are numerous permissions problems with the source for Web hosting space. One of the projects have worked on (IP cop) has had the twiki repeatedly wiped by miscreants ( rm -rf ) and every time of had to try to replace someone's password, it's a hair tear of copying files and then the leading and replacing etc. rather than simply editing.
it's really not a good idea.[topic drift] if someone with knowledge about webdav could share how to configure Apache and place it in the wiki, it would be much appreciated.
