The difference is that no damage is done when the debian guys start a two-year
discussion about their social contract. In contrast, when you start a
two-months discussion about the optimal time for harvesting your crops,

Oh, come on. Prostitution, child labour, slavery and even "bombings" predate
capitalism by a couple of thousand years.
IMO parecon, socialism, anarchy etc. cannot work in reality simply because
humans are _selfish_. There's no way to switch that off.
