Which is a fairly stunning display of pointlessness, star being the
only thing in the world which matches this "standard". Arbitrary
specification at its best and most irrelevant.
There does exist a way to generate tar archives which works on most
platforms, but it's not that one (and I'm not aware of a tar-like
program which does it).
