PUBPAT challenges Microsoft Filesystem Patent

The Public Patent Foundation (PUBPAT) has filed a formal request with
the United States Patent and Trademark Office to revoke the Microsoft
Corporation's patent on the FAT File System. In its filing, PUBPAT
submitted previously unseen prior art showing the patent (which was
issued in November 1996) was obvious and, as such, should have never
been granted.

Netfilter project obtains injunction against Sitecom for GPL violation

The Munich district court has granted a preliminary injunction against
Sitecom Germany GmbH for violation of the GNU General Public License
of the Netfilter/Iptables Project in the WL-122 wireless access
router. The Netfilter Project is being represented by Berlin and
Munich-based law firm JBB Rechtsanwaelte.
