What a bunch of bunk.

I think anybody not trying to make a bogus argument thinks that it
means "to make a criminal offense" and that a criminal offense is
something that could land you in jail.

Nobody goes to jail for patent infringement in the United States.

The orginal poster either got carried away with his own argument,
and made a bogus statement, or is knows better and is trying to
scare people into his point of view.

And your rationalizations are just as bad.
