This month we are pleased to announce that Brett Wynkoop will be speaking
at our regular Gnubies meeting on Wednesday, June 9, 2004.  The topic is
"Printing with GNU/Linux" - a topic that has repeatedly been requested by
a number of you.  Those of you at the recent meeting on "Your Computer at
Your Command: A Gnubies Intro to Shells and Command Prompts" will be
familiar with Brett and have some idea of the extent of his knowledge.
This talk will be geared to GNUbies and will include practical
information, but, knowing Brett, will likely contain some information of
value to more advanced user as well.


Bio:
Brett Wynkoop has been messing about with Unix and Unix like systems
since the early 1980's.  He has programed and administered almost every
type of Unix system over the past 20 years.  He runs a Brooklyn based
computer consulting firm that has clients in the financial, defense,
entertainment and retail industries.  Mr.  Wynkoop may be reached at

The meeting, as usual, will be held at the IBM building in
Manhattan -- please see below for the procedures required for attending
meetings at IBM. We are grateful to IBM for continuing to provide us with
the space for our meetings.
