GNU "compatibility" idiocy has mostly to do with linking. And linking
as such is totally irrelevant under software copyright (case)law and 
falls under "mere aggregation" clause anyway. Except in the GNU 
Republic, where linking is akin to sex without condoms (creating 
"derived embryos" and all that), that is.
