Subject: [Computers_and_society_announcements] Exciting week of activities at
NYU / Wash Square
 Sender: computers_and_society_announcements-bounces@cs.nyu.edu

The next 9 days are filled with opportunities for anyone interested in the
web and society. My Computers and Society course will host a lecture by
Tim Westergren, founder of Pandora, on September 24th from 3:30 to 4:45.
He'll be discussing the Future of Music and the State of Licensing Today.
The lecture is free, open to the public and sponsored by NYU ACM Chapter,
the Internet Society of New York, NYU Free Culture, and WinC. Mark the
date -- a flyer will follow next week.

Everything else is related to OneWebDay.org, and annual day to celebrate and
protect the internet. You can see the full details for the New York events
