4/4 time

        Something for the doco: anyone who wants 4/4 time to show up as 4/4
instead of 'c' should use:

\property Staff.TimeSignature \override #'style = #'Z

        (probably other letters would work as well -- just not C)

        In case the authors are wondering why I avoided their useful code, I
found that the 'c' takes up a fraction more space (besides preferring the
other), and I needed that space.
