compile error - please help!

hi there,
sorry for bothering but I have a problem with Lilypond 1.4.0. ./configure is
all right, but when I make all I get that error message:

make: *** [all] Error 2

It seems to have  a problem with some mfplain files, which I do not have on
hard disk. What is this?
