I had this inquiry from Mick Reiss. He wants to know
if his program would be faster with GCC than VC++,
and what might be involved in the port. I suppose
the engine will be no problem, the issue will be with
his user interface.

It seems to me that Teun and Trevor are in a better
position to answer this query than I, so I'm posting
this to the list.

Mick, you can always write to everyone on the GNU Go
list by sending mail to address@hidden

Hello Daniel,

How are you? and how's GNU Go coming along?

I was thinking recently about the possibility of using GNU C
for my program and have two questions:

1. What are the chances that the program would execute faster than
   with Microsoft C?
2. Can I use it to compile a windows program. - I don't use
Microsoft foundation classes, I just use raw API calls.

If you don't know the answers to these questions do you know
someone who would?
