[gnugo-devel] First round Maastricht (repost of message to gmane.comp.games.devel.go)

On my way to France with my family I happened
to be passing by Maastricht during the first
round of the tournament. I got their permission
to attend the first round. 

I had the pleasure of meeting Inge and I had the opportunity
to witness the first round game against Ether
that Ether lost by making an illegal move in
a hopeless position.

My impression from my 2 hour stay was that the focus of the tournament
was on chess and 10x10 checkers which is quite popular
in the Netherlands. Still a good go tournament though
with sufficient opposition for Gnu Go.
