I'll leave this for someone stronger to comment on but the played move
at F10 doesn't look much worse than some of the proposed moves to me.
I'm doubtful whether this is a good position for a test.

I agree fully with this. Good test case.

This is not so clear to me. K7 defends with sente but M6 leaves less
aji. I don't know which is most valuable.
