[gnugo-devel] 3.3.17 not compiling

I noticed that gnugo-3.3.17 is now linked to off of the development page.
Sadly, it doesn't seem to compile, failing with the error

I have tried this both on my Mac OSX 10.2 laptop and a redhat-7.3
machine.  Both give the same error.
