The patch evan_3_18.8 is now in the CVS.

But I have a comment.

The patch adds some responses for O in this position:

Two of the responses are given J valuation and two are
given j. The j patterns will presumably never be played
in normal circumstances. That is OK.

Were this to be made a J pattern we'd want to include some
responses where X invades the 3 space jump, since otherwise
GNU (playing O) is likely to mess up.
