That is irrelevant. The pattern only claims to make a connection,
which is correct. It's up to the move valuation to find out if it's
losing points or can more efficiently be played elsewhere.

That depends on the context. Both patterns are too local for saying
which is better.

That's probably because CC31 is almost certainly redundant anyway.
