Under GNUmed > Preferences, there are 5 options
Database
Client parameters
User interface
External tools
EMR
each with multiple suboptions.
It may be useful to visually separate anything that a user can set
that would leave other users unaffected (equivalent to personal
preferences) from those that would be in-common, affecting others.
If "Client parameters" allow different users to each set and save
individual preferences, distinct from all other persons, I would
relabel this one
Personal
and set it above the others. separated by a dotted line,
If changes to "User interface" affects all users, and we are saying
it is the "common-to-all" interface that is being controlled, I might
think to adjust this to
Users' interface
Except I am now thinking we should completely get rid of it. If I
review again over
Database
User interface
EMR
the distinction from the point of view of office administrator is
meaningless. The database language setting and the welcome message
affect the user interface, So do the EMR settings. So, while I would
continue to accord distinct items for
Personal (was Client parameters)
--------------------
External Tools
can we pool
Database
User interface (in common)
EMR
into
Interaction
result:
Personal
--------------------
External Tools
Interaction
and in Interaction we could have
Document Handling
Encounter
Episode
Language
Patient search
Progress notes handling
Update handling
Welcome message
Lastly (for my info) are client parameter changes saved at the
machine logged-in (system) user level, or at the level of the copy of
gnumed-client that is being run (thus changes at the apt-get
installed level would not affect gnumed-client from cvs?
