[Gnumed-bugs] side-by-side list manager display problem / limitation in wxPython/wxWidgets

As seen in Mac OS using X11 and wxWidgets 2.8x when calling out to -- and then 
returning from -- FreeDiams with candidate medications, it appears that the 
foreground permits the background left column contents to extend across the 
opaque divider.

As a result,

1) when the right-sided list is initialized with zero items, one gets 
distracted by the overhang (Screenshot 1)

2) as soon as you add an item to the right-sided list, it cleans up the 
problem, but only temporarily (Screenshot 2)

3) if you resize the window a few pixels smaller, the left-sided column text 
will overlap the right-column item text (Screenshot 3)

Accordingly are there any settings available that might better control the 
display parameters for the list widths or their visibility beyond the intended 
mask areas?
