Then it must be a limitation where -- under Mac OS under X11 and wx -- the 
STDIN "return" and "enter" keys fail to be processed, such that is only when 
the phrasewheel provides a *remapping* that the new value will "snap" and cause 
GNUmed to process the input.

Sebastian was willing to help try to put together a Mac native package if he 
could access a Mac with suitable older OS which escapes some of the 64-bitnness 
problems.

I have an older MacBook suitable for that purpose but only needed a new AC 
adapter which I just ordered. So maybe, in time, we can have some relief to 
this problem.
