I see. Apparently, the current implementation cannot be made
thread safe (by me).
Hence I will focus all efforts on releasing 1.7 (which won't
happen for Debian Stretch, though) which contains an entirely
different approach to the problem that should eliminate the
threading problem entirely.
The workaround with 1.6 is to configure encounter minimum and
maximum times to live to be the same, hence never asking the
user whether to continue a previous encounter.
