thanks for taking the time to report this issue.
Unfortunately, the version you are using

lacked a bug fix which prevents the log from being all that
useful.
The latest rel-1-7-patches code on Github contains the needed
fix so I suggest you might try downloading and running that.
A possible workaround might be to set a non-empty password on
your database user.
Following that we may be better positioned to help.
