Hi Everyone: I've up-dated the install guide. I have now included links to where I got the RPMs I used... earlier I incorporated Karsten comments. http://savannah.gnu.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs/gnumed/gnumed/gnumed/client/doc/TODO/user-manual.txt?rev=1.27&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup Richard: >I remember someone else saying they had a gcc compiler error. I think that was me... I've had that problem several times. Check if you have the following directory: "/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages" If it doesn't exist you're probably missing a python component... perhaps this one: libpython2.2-devel-2.2.2-6mdk I haven't found an RPM that properly installs pypgsql... the 1st version of guide was a bit misleading (I mentioned an RPM in connection with pypgsql... this has now been fixed). The gcc components I have installed are: gcc-3.2.2-3mdk gcc-c++-3.2.2-3mdk gcc-cpp-3.2.2-3mdk If you haven't... double check the settings in 'setup.py' -- I remember spending a frustrating 15 minutes... at one point before I realized I didn't change "USE_CUSTOM = 0" to "USE_CUSTOM = 1" >Tried you[r] script to the letter on a virgin MD9.1 and >found multiple problems ... I look forward to your comments. Please add and improve where you feel there are problems. Michael
