As far as I can tell there has been put a lot of effort into the wxMAc port 
since the 2.4.2 realease. If I remember correctly wxWindows/wxpython 2.5 
introduced quite some changes.  We need to switch over sometime anyway but 
2.5 is not yet included inmajor distribution so this imposes extra work on 
people.

Please raise your voice on to when to switch over. My limited understanding 
tells me that the wxGTK / wxMac port in 2.5 should be closer to each other 
than in 2.4.
