Should have said "service". Measurements and documents live in
separate services, eg. clinical and blob. One way to think of
the difference is that "clinical" houses data (potentially)
suited for computation while blob does not.

For now all data sources of a service reside in one physical
PG database - but they need not. Once the service concept is
abstracted out it can draw from several sources.

No, not quite. Eg. gmMeasurement and gmClinical go into the
same service (eg database).

Well, currently all of your services live in the same physical
database for various reasons.
