Hi all,

This is just an for the record posting.

GNUmed up to version 0.9.10 does not work with Postgresql < 8.4 it seems.

So for example people running the still hot and fresh Ubuntu 11.10 which ships
gnumed-server v15.10 and PostgreSQL 9.1 cannot bootstrap.

This is solved in GNUmed 1.0.rc6 and newer.

If you are on e.g. Ubuntu 11.10 and PG 9.1 and want to run GNUmed 0.9.10 then
a) install PostgreSQL 8.4 and use it
b) use the tarball of gnumed-server-v16 to bootstrap a v15 database
c) wait until Ubuntu will get GNUmed 1.x included or 0.9.11 is released (if
ever)

Sebastian
