Can we also have a placeholder

        current_provider_ext_id # args: <type of ID>//<issuer of ID>

which would be able to add, for example to signature lines, some identifier(s) 
which may be needed to identify or disambiguate the current provider? Examples 
include on lab requests and on prescriptions where it may be necessary to 
include a doctor's practitioner number or registration number etc.
