Dear dr karsten,
recent version of gnumed .10 can be made to crash if you follow following steps:
>From manage list, select add new brands.
Step 1: add abc as brand, select capsule , now add substance ampicillin . press 
add another
Step 2: now let us add xyz, an another brand for substance ampicillin. when you 
click add substance, you see ampicillin is already in the right side field. so 
just click ok  to produce a crash. 

It is not a major problem as if you remove ampicillin from right sided field, 
and again add  
it, it works correctly
