[Gnumed-devel] Measurements of the same attribute, using different methods / units |

In North America and particularly in Canada, patients measure and report their
weights in pounds or in kilos.
Interestingly, LOINC does not specify any units of measurement, only that the
method is
Measured
(as opposed to, say, estimated). See
http://s.details.loinc.org/LOINC/8341-0.html?sections=Simple
What would people suggest as the best way of handling this in GNUmed? Must the
Abbreviation be unique and should I therefore take the existing measurement
type that is abbreviated
wght
and alter it to
wght (kg)
and create
wght (lb)
??
