Presently, when including SOAP row content in documents and when wishing to
include entries via "SimpleNotes" plugin, one must include in the row
specification
u
as in
soapu
which results in a column label
u
which does not match what is outputted in the EMR Journal, which is a question
mark (?).
My preference is to get rid of the question mark in the EMR Journal. The first
step would be to make it the same as what appears in the document printout
('u') because the question mark can give the impression of uncertainty which is
not the intended (clinical) meaning.
My question is whether it is necessary to use a symbol for this 'lack of
assigning a soap row' or can the character be a space, which -- if accepted --
would require a future upgrade replacing the values of 'u' to values of ' '.
The benefit would be to avoid to depict or present, in the GI and in documents,
'non' information.
I only don't know whether, even if the above would be agreed-to, it becomes a
problem to try to support a 'space character' in the template specification
and whether instead of
'soapu'
we would need the space to be escaped, as in
'soap\ '
