I agree that we should update/reorganize the Task/TODO list.
I also agree that it is a good idea to make a gui/xgps release in sync
with the make/base release 1.0.0.
Btw, now that binary packages can be built quickly (if not by us, by other
people) I suggest that we do pretty often `unstable'/`development'
releases - in particular I'm thinking about the gui.
I guess we should:
* make the big stable releases as usual - not very often;
* every week or couple of weeks, make a `development' release.
Basically every couple of weeks we tag a daily snapshot which compiles
and works cleanly with a new version number. I suggest increasing
the last number systematically in that way - as in 0.6.7, 0.6.8, 0.6.9,
0.6.10, 0.6.11, ... - when we want to make a major stable release, we
tag it by increasing the major number, as in 0.7.0. I think raising
numbers - if it reflects real improvements in the libraries - it's
just healthy.
