ok i'll bite...
GNUstep works under hurd here's a screenshot that
shows GWorkspace inspecting an image on
ftp.gnustep.org through hurd's ftpfs..
requires a libobjc workaround an issue with posix
thread ids. the patch is just as incorrect as the
existing code, and just side-steps the real issue (in
libobjc).
