eek! I jusst had an unexpected quit of 3dmosmon! without console, so will try 
again...
can't recreate it atm, but it was only one time.
when opening like 
"/Applications/3dmosmon.app/3dmosmon-bin/Contents/MacOS/3dmosmon

starting it again gives me no trouble and I finally see the eye-candy!!!
looks very nice! I have a little trouble dragging the window, since I control 
the view in it the moment I click on it. 

anyway, here's a screenshot :) see for yourself how nice it looks!
