Subject: | gpsd disconnects using ublox M8T |

Hello,
New to the list (and new to gpsd as well, but seem to be coming up to speed quickly =) )
I found a message from 2019 about a problem I'm presently having. Previous thread was titled "gpsd loses the connection with the M8T when Raw is enabled."
I'm running linux 5.10.80 on an Atmel processor, with gpsd 3.23.1 configured to use /dev/ttyS1 for the u-blox
gpspipe: 3.23.1 (revision 3.23.1)
+ gpspipe -w -n 2 -x 20
{"class":"VERSION","release":"3.23.1","rev":"3.23.1","proto_major":3,"proto_minor":14}
{"class":"DEVICES","devices":[{"class":"DEVICE","path":"/dev/ttyS1","driver":"u-blox","subtype":"SW EXT CORE 3.01 (111141),HW 00080000","subtype1":"ROM BASE 2.01 (75331),FWVER=TIM 1.10,PROTVER=22.00,MOD=NEO-M8T-0,FIS=0xEF4015 (100111),GPS;GLO;GAL;BDS,SBAS;IMES;QZSS","activated":"2022-11-03T16:50:29.468Z","flags":1,"native":1,"bps":115200,"parity":"N","stopbits":2,"cycle":1.00,"mincycle":0.02}]}
I'm using a u-blox M8T with ubx protocol, and gpsd is dropping connection to the M8T, and looks like it is trying to cycle through lower baud rates when reconnecting. I've set the baud at 115200 using:
ubxtool -s 115200
ubxtool -S 115200
The previous thread mentioned disabling rawx which I believe I've done using
ubxtool -d RAWX
I've also disabled NMEA sentences with
ubxtool -d NMEA
The disconnects seem less frequent, but still occur, within a couple minutes usually.
If I let cgps run, eventually it will print out a
cgps: GPS timout
and exit.
Any suggestions or things to try greatly appreciated
Regards
Jon
