In reviewing grep bug reports I noticed this one:

which reported that I can't run "make dist" on Fedora 31, I guessed because 
Fedora 31 uses GNU Make 4.2.1 (make-4.2.1-15.fc31.x86_64). If you're creating 
snapshots successfully I guess you must not be running into that bug. Is this 
because you're using a later version of GNU Make, or an earlier one, or because 
that bug report is wrong?
