Well, the GPT is not valid because the MBR partition table is not
"protective". It has a partition of type 0xEF embedded in a partition
of type 0x00. Barely compliant to UEFI specs.
Besides Fedora used by Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, Gentoo, and others.
More or less the current mainstream.

Nevertheless, this thread is about the MBR partition table entry at
the start of the EFI FAT image, not at the start of the ISO filesystem.
The ISO should have a partition table which marks the EFI partition.
(Only Microsoft seems not to bother ...)
