If I have an option called "DISABLE_FEATURE_X", then I would expect setting
it to "true" would mean that the feature is disabled not the other way around.

And existing users have already set it to true to disable it, so true
better mean disabled.

And at least one existing user had willingly set it to false and didn't
understand why the expected boot entries were not generated after
having upgraded, as they were previously.
