For escaping continuations there is an analogy with exploring a system of
caves. Just before you go down into a cave you grab a handful of holes and
put them in your pocket. You go down into the cave and explore. If you ever
need to you can take one of your holes out of your pocket and climb into it to
get out back at the top where you started. Furthermore you can leave holes
wherever you please and come back later to climb into them to escape. Can
this analogy be extended to explain how to use continuations to program
co-routines etc.? Help yourself if you think it's useful.
