   After looking at it again and again, I finally found what confused me.
   The guile/guile-doc directory came up empty so I thought that there is
   no documentation available.  But it is in guile/guile-core/doc...
   Sorry, my mistake.

thanks for pointing this out.  i will add a notice re this change in the
next week or so...
