   Didn't we release 1.5.4 once already?  Shouldn't this be 1.5.5?

sorry i wasn't clear -- the posting was a re-announcement of 1.5.4 for
the benefit of guile projects list contributors in case they missed the
announcement on guile-user.

(as a maintainer, i would love to get our release process scripted so
that i could pop out a 1.5.5 release, myself.  it sort of irks me that
there is so much human dependency...)
