well, the projects list update protocol requires email submission, which
deters a lot of people.  also the projects list maintainer is human and
is somewhat sporadic (sorry).  i see that the db log:
  http://www.glug.org/projects/journal.txt
doesn't show anything relevant, and the guile-fltk blurb:
  http://www.tiger-marmalade.com/~james/code/
grumbles about guile changes.  perhaps this explains things.

in any case, the Plan is now: get a gumm spider working provisionally,
and then back-transition the projects list to be spider-maintained.  i
believe such a setup would be less hassle and more fun all around...
