I don't think so. I'm not absolutely sure which were the compiler options
for GC (it's a slightly modified version included with Mercury), but here
is something I found in config.log:

BOEHM_MISC_CFLAGS_FOR_THREADS='-DHBLKSIZE=32768 -DCPP_LOG_HBLKSIZE=15'
