FWIW, doing in a guile-prompt with guile-2.2.4:

$ ./guile/meta/guile
GNU Guile 2.2.4.9-71f536
Copyright (C) 1995-2017 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

Guile comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details type `,show w'.
This program is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it
under certain conditions; type `,show c' for details.

Enter `,help' for help.
scheme@(guile-user)> (use-modules (web client))
scheme@(guile-user)> http-request
$1 = #<procedure http-request (uri #:key body port method version
keep-alive? headers decode-body? streaming? request)>

Don't have 2.2.3 any more, though.

Cheers,
  Harm
