Exception on Hang?

Hi, I was planning to use 8sync as a framework for an SDR project,
modeling my program after the Actor Model. I was wondering if there is
some trick to make code raise an exception if it runs for too long. I
was worried about one poorly programmed Actor getting stuck in a non-
yielding loop or non-yielding i/o block, and freezing all the other
actors in that OS process.
