file checksum

I'm getting adds but no updates to a md5 checksum database

Ideas?

control:
        ChecksumDatabase = ( /var/run/cfengine/md5 )
        actionsequence = ( files )
files:
        /home/ashton/cf/. r=1 checksum=md5

found
