I have checked this and rmdirs=true is defined in the documentation to
remove all empty directories. rmdirs=sub removes only sub-directories.
I also found a type bug and a recoding subtlety that might cause
this to behave incorrectly.
This will be fixed in the next release. Snapshot available from the
website.
